Celebrity Insider reported yesterday that Nick Gordon found himself in trouble with the authorities once again following an altercation with Laura Leal after they left a bar. The 29-year-old posted his $900 bail on Sunday, March 11th, after the police had him detained for battery.
In a report from Us Weekly, Laura Leal alleges that Nick hit her in the face several times while on their way home from a bar in Sanford, Florida. Following the police officers’ arrival at the scene, they found her injuries – a swollen and bloody lip – and concluded they were consistent with battery.
According to the reports, Gordon said to the police he never hit her and was merely defending himself. He claims she tore his t-shirt and threw a glass bottle at him.
The ex-boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown told the police that he just wanted her to leave his house. And if the reports are accurate one would expect Leal to press charges, however, she chose not to.
As you may know, Leal and Gordon have fought several times in the past including back in June of 2017. The police took Gordon into the station because of domestic violence.
However, his attorney-at-law said to reporters that police decided not to press charges. A report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution claimed the courts chose to close the case following Gordon’s completion of an anger management course.
As all know by now, courts determined Gordon was “legally responsible” for the death of Kristina Brown in July of 2015. Whitney Houston’s daughter passed away after lying in a pharmaceutically-induced coma for six months.
Since then, Gordon has vehemently denied wrongdoing. As for her family, Bobby Brown came out in the press and stated he didn’t feel Gordon faced appropriate restitution because he was “still walking around free.”
