There has been a body found at New York Giants cornerback, Janoris Jenkins’ home in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. According to Bergen County prosecutor’s office, police are currently investigating the situation as a possible homicide. The defensive star’s home is located about ten miles north of MetLife Stadium.
The body has been identified as Roosevelt Rene, 25, a music producer, and Jenkins family friend. Rene, who produced music as Trypps Beatz, was staying with the NFL player in his six-bedroom home. A house worker reportedly discovered the body in the basement of the house, and law enforcement and a coroner arrived shortly afterward.

Pending the results of the post-mortem exam by medical examiners, there is a “person of interest” that investigators are waiting to interview, although no official suspects have been named.
One such person of interest is the cornerback’s older brother, William Jenkins. Ontario County (NY) District Attorney James Ritts told TMZ Sports that Jenkins’s older brother, William, is being eyed “in relation to the dead body case at his brother’s house.”
According to jail records, Williams was arrested in upstate New York just hours prior to Rene’s body being found in his brother’s home. The arrest was for an unrelated parole warrant issue. Police are treating the case as a homicide due to a possible strangulation/suffocation incident and deemed the cause of death “highly suspicious.”
Also last night in NJ, a man claiming to be Janoris Jenkins’ brother was on a Jet Blue flight to Fort Lauderdale from Newark to allegedly meet up with Janoris. The man caused delays because he was too scared to fly according to witnesses I spoke to. He got off the plane #giants

Jenkins is currently in Florida, where he has been since Giants minicamp two weeks ago
The Giants organization has stated that they “are aware of and monitoring the situation.” Representatives for Jenkins have declined comment but say that Jenkins is also aware of the investigation.
Several Sources who have talked to the defensive star told ESPN that he is “good” and “just waiting for the legal process to play out.” and that Janoris Jenkins’s lawyers have advised him to remain in Florida.
