On Thursday, Puma announced that now The Weeknd is their official Global Brand ambassador and creative collaborator. Apparently, the relaxed and streetwise style the Toronto singer has convinced the Puma guys to sign him up for a new Sportstyle campaign that will be launched in November and it will be titled Run The Streets. This means that the artist will be showcasing shoes like IGNITE Limitless and IGNITE ecoKNIT, together with some Evo apparel.
However, even if he is going to do that, it seems that he is not quitting his personal clothing brand either. His official merch collection is still up and running, and as proof to that, this week he launched the first gear from the Fall/Winter 2016 season, which brings up the classic streetwear items found in the XO signature look.
In the collection you can see unisex clothing items such as sweaters, jackets, T-shirts and sweatpants, all of them wearing a mix of subtle branding and bold graphic designs. Just like the previous collection, this one is dominated by a play between black and white, with some drops of gray and camouflage patterns thrown in here and there. Moreover, you can also buy snapbacks and beanies with New Era 9fifty embroidery, along with some XO-branded socks and some other headwear options.
If you want to purchase some of The Weeknd items, you can head out to the online shop, at www.theweeknd.com/store and check out all the available merchandise. The good thing is that products vary from $12 to $100, so you will definitely find something that will suit your pocket and help you show that you are a fan of The Weeknd. Moreover, if you’re cheap and can’t afford one, you can share a tee or a jacket with your partner, since they are unisex.
