It will be impossible to replace Pauley Perrette after her surprising exit from NCIS. Perrette turned her character Abby Sciuto into a fan favorite thanks to her goth look and quirky personality.
However, after one of the strangest incidents with Mark Harmon involving a dog, Perrette bit adieu to the hit series leaving fans in shock and a bit sad.
Even during departure, the published writer was very graceful to Diona Reasonover.
Reasonover, who plays Kasie Hines on the CBS show, said she was afraid of being compared to Sciuto. Perrette offered her helpful advice on her to make the role her own.
In a new interview with TV Insider, Reasonover explained: “I was (afraid to be compared to Abby), but Pauley sat me down on my first day, and she told me, ‘Just be yourself.’ And that was helpful because that’s the only person I can be after all. I’m bringing as much truth to this as I possibly can.”
Reasonover went on to reassure fans by saying that Sciuto’s all-black looks have been retired for now.
She shared: “If you go and take a look in the wardrobe department, you’ll see Pauley’s wardrobe is all black and lace and beautiful. I’ve got colors and patterns. The costume department is so wonderful, and they let me have a say in some things. Like, I’m not really into ruffles, things like that.”
There is a huge possibility that fans have not see the last of Sciuto.
Remember she was not killed off the show, instead, she left to focus on charity works.
Additionally, her former co-star, Michael Weatherly, who played the loveable Anthony DiNozzo on the police procedural show, made the bold prediction that she will come back.
Weatherly told People magazine: “I know that Pauley Perrette will be back in some capacity. I’m just saying. And I think that she’s going to be — I think everyone misses her already, and she’ll be back and funnier than ever. She’s really a fierce lady and one of my favorite people on the planet.”
