During an interview for the Daily Telegraph Australia, Naomi Watts opened up about her breakup with Liev Schreiber in September. The two have had a long term relationship and so it was presumed that the split affected both of them greatly. This is the first time Watts spoke about the sad news publicly since the official announcement.
Although the two are broken up now, they come together for the sake of their children, Samuel and Alexander. Naomi and Liev are very dedicated parents and make a great team – in fact, according to the actress, these days the boys are her main priorities.
This is also the reason why Naomi feels content with her life despite the sad divorce.
“I feel I’m in a good place in my life and I want to make sure my kids are healthy, my kids are happy and things are going to go well. Those are my hopes for me and for all of us.”
Despite her optimist view on life, the 48 year old Naomi didn’t hide that she is also scared of the “changes” that are to come, adding:
“I feel, whether you’re famous or not, transitions are scary for anybody. I feel like change is always scary, but that’s only because transition for anyone is new and you wonder how things are going to go.”
That is so true! We always fear the unknown, but we usually come on top anyway.
When asked about her and her ex’s Christmas plans with the kids, the celebrity confessed she is still unsure:
“I’m still figuring out Christmas plans for this year. I obviously want to get back to Australia, but I’m currently working on a TV show, Gypsy, and I’ve only got a limited amount of time off.”
We’re sure they’ll figure it out, there’s still time. Plus, the two are so friendly that they might even get back together at some point. What do you think?
