According to new reports, the man or men who shot XXXTentacion to death pre-planned the murder. In a report from TMZ.com, the publication claims the murder was “premeditated.”
The organization obtained the arrest warrant, and it said that two men jumped out of an SUV and demanded property from the rapper. There was then a “brief struggle,” and they shot him and stole a “small bag” from the 20-year-old’s vehicle.
As it was previously reported, the young up-and-coming rapper was leaving a motorcycle shop in Pompano Beach, Florida. As he walked out of the door to get into his car, the SUV pulled in front of him and blocked him from exiting.
The gunmen got out of the vehicle at that point. TMZ reported that the police arrested one man, Dedrick Williams, and are currently looking for another two men, whom the court granted an arrest warrant.
Even though the police state the murder was “premeditated,” that doesn’t mean the men planned it days or weeks in advance. It just means they made the decision to rob and kill him moments before they enacted their plan.
The publication, in their documents obtained from the police, said that it “appeared to be a robbery.” The Medical Examiner confirmed he died due to multiple gunshot wounds.
In a video obtained by TMZ, Dedrick wore a white tank top and bright orange sandals, while the other perpetrators wore dark clothing and a red mask.
The police also have their hands on another video showing Dedrick buying a black mask. Nevertheless, it’s been a sad week for the hip-hop community, as XXXTentacion was a rising star in the scene.
As it was noted above, he was just 20-years-old and had a troubled life. He was waiting for his sentencing for allegedly striking his pregnant girlfriend, who is currently with child.
