Leah Messer was perceived by the fans of Teen Mom as a horrible mother this season but she claims that editing was her greatest enemy and it portrayed her to the public as a monster, when in fact the reality was pretty different. The mother of three decided to throw shade at the show’s evil editing.
When asked about whether or not she was concerned about how she comes off on screen, Messer said:
“Yes sometimes [I get nervous]. There is a lot of editing and all that. You don’t know what’s going to be on air.”
Last season of Teen Mom, Leah was critiqued for her bad ways of raising her daughters. First, she was accused of enforcing an unhealthy lifestyle by refusing to feed her twin daughters Ali and Aleeah breakfast before school. Second, she also came under fire for allowing her youngest Adalynn to eat sugar packets while at a restaurant.
After the problematic scenes aired last season she took on social media to share her disbelief at how she was portrayed.
“It’s so sad how the person behind the editing can even live a happy life by editing to manipulate the audience watching,” she tweeted in March. “It makes me feel like my life story isn’t enough.”
Although she said she feels a little nervous that a similar thing might happen again, Messer says that this season will have no drama.
“There are a lot of positive things going on with the girls and I. Good things, great things,” she shared.
As we previously reported, Leah Messer has been having a great relationship with the fathers of her three girls, Corey Simms and Jeremy Calvert, and they are great co-parents and even friends.
“We actually co-parent great, we get along good,” she stated about Simms, and then adding that, “Jeremy and I get along pretty well.”
