Even though it’s been a few weeks since Nicki Minaj and Cardi B got into a fight at New York Fashion Week, many others are still weighing in on the beef, with the latest being Mo’Nique, the actress who claims she lost her career due to being blackballed.
When she appeared on Power 106’s The Cruz Show, Mo’Nique said she was asked to share her thoughts on the rappers’ long-standing war. At first, she praised both of them as “musical geniuses.”
However, when she became more serious, she said, “I wanna talk to Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. What’s the top spot?” Mo’Nique, in her speech, pointed to Taylor Swift and Jessica Simpson, suggesting that they never fought for the “top spot.”
“They’re doing their own thing,” the actress remarked, insinuating that Nicki and Cardi should just worry about their respective careers. Additionally, she said there’s plenty of success to go around for the both of them.
As it was previously reported, Nicki and Cardi dominated the gossip tabloids a few weeks ago when Cardi threw a shoe at the rapper, and Nicki’s security team had to pull her away.
When the paparazzi got a photograph of her, she had a big bump on her forehead. Cardi B took to her social media later to say that Nicki was speaking ill of her parenting abilities, as well as her young daughter.
On Minaj’s Queen Radio podcast, Nicki claimed the whole thing was completely “mortifying” for her and added she never spoke maliciously about Cardi B or her kid, Kulture Kiari.
Later on, Nicki donated $25,000 to Geoffrey Owens following the revelation that he was working at Trader Joes following years as a successful actor on The Cosby Show. Some fans believed it was a form of damage control, probably at the behest of her publicist.
