Viewers of Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood are privy to the long-standing beef between Princess Love and Moniece Slaughter. However, most don’t even know why – or when – the feud started. It turns out that it kicked off regarding a very simple dispute, one that most people would probably overlook.
However, fans of L&HH know that rarely, do women such as Moniece back down from a fight. In a clip shared from the series, Slaughter revealed where it all began.
Slaughter – during a dinner with Misster Ray and AD – dishes on why they’ve hated each other for such a long time.
According to Moniece, it all started with her husband, Ray J. Moniece claims their first interaction went sour while on Love And Hip Hop: New York during Yandy Smith and Mendeecees Harris’ wedding.
Slaughter claims that when she was at the dinner table, she addressed Ray J as “Raymond,” and Princess Love freaked out about it. Love looked over at her and said forcefully, “his name is not Raymond!”
She defended herself, saying she “doesn’t give a f*ck” how his wife wants her to talk to Ray. The reality star added that she has been calling him Raymond for as long as they’ve known each other, and she doesn’t plan on changing her ways anytime soon.
The following day, they ran into each other again, and Slaughter ended up throwing a drink on her after a brief exchange of words. Would Moniece’s grandmother approve of behavior such as this? It’s probably not likely.
Previously, Moniece’s grandmother gave some integral life advice on what it meant to be a woman in the past, and also what it means now.
While she never gave wisdom on conflict resolution, her grandma did explain how women should treat themselves as independent individuals. According to her, there wasn’t a need to rely on a man in the old days, and there isn’t a need now either.
