Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore’s characters on This Is Us are a married couple, and it looks like the actors are also super close! The man is nominated at the Emmys in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series category, and so he was on the red carpet at the event.
While there, Ventimiglia talked to ET and shared a sweet tradition he has with his co-star behind the scenes.
Apparently, he and Moore have been doing this since the first season.
‘So Mandy and I have a tradition. We watch every episode together. And we’re always crying. [The show] makes us cry as well,’ he admitted.
‘That’s the thing. The show’s a good reminder of that human quality we all have to feel emotions and compassion and knowing things like [creator] Dan Fogelman isn’t afraid of sentimentality. Neither am I. I think we need it as a culture, as a country, as a people,’ Milo went on to add.
Considering the fact that a new season of This is Us premiers on September 25, the actor took the opportunity to tease the fans, saying there should be more happy and funny moments as well among the emotional scenes.
‘Our composer Sid[dhartha] Khosla comes in with those notes and the music and Dan Fogelman and the writers with their words, it is like, of course, we are going to make you cry,’ Milo said.
He also shared about his own character, Jack that ‘We’re going back to the past. We’re going back to when he was a younger man, a younger man in war, meeting his wife and the courtship, young love that happens when you’re in a new relationship. You’ll see those sides of Jack.’
