Even though Millie Bobby Brown and Drake seem like the least likely friends in the world, it turns out, that the Stranger Things alum looks to the self-proclaimed Six-God for advice all the time.
In a chat with reporters from W Magazine, the 14-year-old actress said that she met the 31-year-old rapper while they were both in Australia.
Reportedly, she was promoting her Netflix series, Stranger Things, and Drake was performing there in support of his last album. She said, “He invited me to his concert.”
After she went to his show, she posted a photograph of herself posing with the “Hotline Bling” rapper on Instagram, and her fans online freaked out. Brown explained that they “talk all the time now.”
As you may know, Drake and Brown are similar in a lot of ways, considering Drake started his career as an actor as well.
The Canadian rapper booked his first gig on the teen drama series, Degrassi: The Next Generation. According to the Scorpio creator, during that time in his life, he was acting on set every day but also working on his music as well.
One day, his producers told him that he either had to focus on acting, or his music career. He chose the latter instead.
And Brown was just 11-years-old when she started working on the set of Stranger Things. Brown said that when she posted with Drake, her fans online went crazy, and her followers jumped up to 1 million in just one day.
Last week, the Stranger Things alum received her second Emmy nomination, and despite the fact her career has exploded, she has managed to stay the same person.
Brown said, “I still get nervous. I still get anxious.” In other words, she has a sense of humility. If there’s one thing she doesn’t have to be nervous about, it’s her finances, because the 14-year-old child actress is one of the most well-paid 14-year-olds in Hollywood right now.
