The Stranger Things actress has decided to leave Twitter yesterday! We have learned that Millie Bobby Brown’s account @MillieBBrown has been abandoned by the star after haters made her the subject of a homophobic meme on the platform.
Millie took to her Instagram account that same day to share a clip that she captioned: ‘good vibes only.’
It was definitely a shock for her many followers considering that the celeb has been very active on social media lately.
But despite the fact that her @MillieBBrown handle is not active at this point in time, there is another verified Twitter account – @MillieStopsHate.
The very last tweet that came from this handle, however, was shared more than half a year ago.
‘I want this account to share love and positivity. Let’s stop bullying,’ the bio reads.
Millie is a supporter of the LGBTQ community.
Last year at the MTV Movie and TV Awards, she showed her support by sporting a blue ampersand pin that was meant to honor the GLAAD’s Together movement.
It looks like the Eleven actress has had enough of social media trolls and the hate forced her to put an end to her activities on the platform.
We can only assume that she will one day return as soon as this meme dies but we can never know for sure. We’ll all have to just wait and see what happens.
Millie is not even the only star who left social media recently because of getting cyberbullied by other users.
After reportedly suffering ‘months of harassment,’ Kelly Marie Tran ended up deleting all her Instagram posts.
