The singer revealed that she might have had a ‘strange premonition’ about her Malibu home burning down during the wildfires. The star was on On Air With Ryan Seacrest when she opened up about losing her and Liam Hemsworth’s house. Here’s what she had to say!
Miley told the host that she has chosen not to mourn the destroyed home too much.
As she put it, instead of wallowing in ‘post traumatic stress,’ she took this opportunity to do some ‘post traumatic growth!’
In other words, she’s coping with the shocking loss pretty well!
Meanwhile, some fans have realized that one of her songs, Nothing Breaks Like a Heart, which she released last week, references a burning house!
But this does not mean she turned the terrible loss of her home into art since she’d actually written the song months ago.
‘We’ve been working for the past year and a half on the record… So I did not know the best way to come out of this blackout period, but it is actually crazy because I wrote this song in May before we lost our Malibu house,’ Miley explained.
She went on to explain that ‘One of the lyrics is ‘This burning house/There is nothing left/It is smoking, and we both know it’… It was this strange premonition, so the timing just worked out.’
Crazy, right? As fans know, Miley and her man, Liam Hemsworth have pledged no less than half a million dollars to The Malibu Foundation in the aftermath of the fire.
The organization is meant to support the people who lost their houses as they rebuild.
Furthermore, because of the love and support she’s been receiving from her family, Miley says she’s in ‘a really good healing place,’ despite everything that happened.
