Following a number of different postponements, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino updated Us Weekly on his current legal battle following tax evasion charges. The 36-year-old reality star said, “we live our life one day at a time, and we’re praying for a positive result.”
Mike is engaged to his fiancée Lauren Pesce, and they’re both working toward a positive future. Mike said “his current situation” is not their “final destination.”
In a report from Radar Online, the publication states that Sorrentino’s sentencing was postponed until the 2nd of October. Back in September of 2014, Mike and his brother were both indicted on tax evasion charges.
Mike is looking at a five-year prison sentence. Despite his current financial and legal issues, Mike and his fiancée are planning for their future.
The Situation said he and his fiancée are currently planning a wedding. He said “happy life” equals a “happy life,” meaning, he’s going to do whatever it takes to make sure his soon-to-be-wife gets whatever she wants.
In addition to having a great wedding that goes off without a hitch, some of his castmates described Sorrentino as a “bridezilla” when it comes to all of the food. The reality star wants “everything” on the menu, whether it’s hard to make happen or not.
Back in April, Us Weekly confirmed they were engaged. He said he had always dreamed of getting married on Jersey Shore – the show that brought him into the mainstream.
According to Mike, Lauren was his college sweetheart, and the two began dating just four years before he started filming for Jersey Shore in 2009. They started dating again when the series ended in 2012.
Since then, most of the reality stars on the production, have either joined different series or started their own businesses. Snooki, in particular, is now a writer, who has released three books.
