Melania Trump finally explained that she wore that one controversial ‘I Don’t Care’ jacket as a way to slam the press, while on 20/20! But now, a source shared with HollywoodLife the reason why the FLOTUS changed her story regarding the purpose of that piece of clothing.
‘Donald’s seriously under fire as well as under pressure, and he is nearing a breaking point as the pressure piles on and the attacks continue. So Melania’s doing what she does best in times like this — she is rallying, and sticking by her husband’s side,’ the insider explained.
They went on to say that ‘Melania’s attempting to publicly show unity with the POTUS, so she is going along with the party line of the jacket being a message ‘to the Fake News media’ as he tweeted out at the time, in direct contradiction to the statement given by Melania’s press secretary Stephanie Grisham, who insisted there was no ‘message’ at all, and that it was nothing more than ‘a jacket.’’
But that is not all! Aside from pretty much denying Grisham’s original statement, she also contradicted herself during the interview.
First, she claimed she purposefully wore the controversial jacket ‘for the people and for the left-wing media who are criticizing me.’
But then, she also said that ‘I would prefer that they would focus on what I do and on my initiatives than what I wear.’
That makes no sense considering she supposedly put that jacket on to send the press and the haters a message.
How could they NOT focus on the garment if it was a message they were supposed to see in the first place? That is quite the paradox!
