The Donald Trump and Stormy Daniels scandal refuses to die, and Saturday Night Live brought the story back to the forefront this weekend when the porn star made a surprise appearance during the show’s opening sketch. As the media circus continues, First Lady Melania Trump is spending “little or no time” with her husband, but she continues to keep quiet about the President’s alleged affair.
As the President and First Lady live their highly-public lives, sources say that the couple is spending little to no time together, and she is keeping herself busy by rolling out her own White House initiatives that focus on children.
Cameras do sometimes photograph the couple smiling in public when they attend joint events or board an aircraft on their way to Mar-A-Lago, but they are spending the rest of their time apart. They even have separate bedrooms in the White House residence.
“They are not that couple that holds hands just because; she is old-world European and it’s not who she is,’ said Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, a former White House intern.
The First Lady’s spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham knocked down the rumor that Mrs. Trump doesn’t live in the White House and instead lives with her parents near her son’s school. She says the story is “1,000 percent false,” and they laugh about it all the time. White House social secretary Rickie Niceta Lloyd called it an “urban legend.”
The family does spend most of their evenings together, and Grisham played down the headlines about the President’s alleged affairs. She says that Mrs. Trump’s focus is on being a mom, a wife, and fulfilling her role as First Lady.
“As has been evidenced by the many events Mrs. Trump has participated in during her time as First Lady, her focus will be the overall well-being of children. Something unique though: She has not narrowed her platform down to just one topic as has been done in the past,’ said Grisham. “Mrs. Trump wishes to help the next generation by creating change through awareness on a variety of issues that affect children.”
The President and First Lady have separate daily routines that begin with him getting up around 5:30 a.m. and then watching cable news and tweeting. Meanwhile, in her room, Mrs. Trump wakes a little later and gets her 12-year-old son Barron ready for school.

She has settled into her quieter routine – which is usually apart from the President – and her top priority is raising their son and carving out a place for herself in the White House.
Mrs. Trump has noticeably begun to raise her profile, independent of the President’s, and she even gave a news conference in the White House Rose Garden on Monday. Her focus continues to be children, and the appearance was meant to formalize what her role will be over the next three to seven years.
Melania Trump has not publicly commented on the rumors surrounding her husband’s rumored affairs.
