Melania Trump Claps Back Amid Conspiracy Theories About Her Absence, Social Media Mocks Her

People have been wondering where the FLOTUS has been for the past few days. Melania Trump took to social media today to explain why she’s been away from the public eye.
Is Melania learning to shoot back on Twitter like her husband the current president Donald Trump?
Today, the First Lady took to the platform to slam the media for spreading unfounded rumors about her disappearance.
Despite returning to the White House just a few days following her kidney surgery back on May 14, Melania has remained off the radar.
As you may be aware, her lack of public presence sparked a lot of different speculations.
One particularly popular conspiracy theory started by Politico alleged that she left Washington D.C. and went to New York.
Seeing all of the rumors, Melania took to Twitter to clear some things up, while also slamming the reports.
‘I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am and what I am doing. Rest assured, I am here at the @WhiteHouse with my family, feeling great, and working hard on behalf of children and the American people!’ she wrote.
However, social media users were not at all convinced and hilarious responses ensued.
‘Blink twice if you need to be rescued,’ one person wrote.
‘Who are you and what have you done with Melanie?!’ another joked.
This was a reference to the fact that the Donald spelled his wife’s name wrong in a recent post.
Previously, Melania’s spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham also slammed the rumors surrounding her absence from the public eye.
‘Sadly, we deal with conspiracy theories all the time, so this is nothing new, just more silly nonsense,’ she apparently told Politico.
‘She is doing great. I would not characterize it as a long absence. She was hospitalized for almost a week and is now home and recovering.’
Still, it looks like a lot of Twitter users are just refusing to believe she is alright.
‘Could we maybe get a video holding today’s paper? Not trying to poke fun but I am not sure we believe you,’ one joked.
