Mel B revealed a very disturbing detail about her family life before she and estranged husband Stephen Belafonte split. The Spice Girls star claimed the man showed their daughters shocking videos depicting violence. As a result, ten-year-old Angel is now going to therapy.
‘When I was not around, Stephen thought it was funny or educational (I still don’t know) to play videos of ISIS beheading individuals,’ Mel stated.
Oh no! That sounds horrible!
The star went on to say that ‘This was entirely inappropriate for such young girls, who don’t understand what’s happening in the videos. Angel’s repeatedly told me about these videos and that she was scared and frightened Stephen would expose her to such gruesome images.’
Obviously enough, the concerned mother had to enroll her traumatized daughter in therapy.
Meanwhile, oldest daughter Phoenix supported her mother’s declaration: ‘He got us all to watch men being beheaded with chainsaws by ISIS, as we were in the kitchen and he was cooking.’
Apparently, it happened even on her Sweet 16 birthday as she was enjoying herself with her girlfriends.
She went on to admit that she and Belafonte never really bonded because he was aggressive to her and her siblings.
Mel B is the mother of three girls – 19-year-old Phoenix, 10-year-old Angel, and Madison, 6.
Out of the three, Belafonte’s only biological daughter is the youngest.
The Spice Girls star has been struggling to get full custody of all of her children, but her efforts have remained somewhat unsuccessful as she and Belafonte are now sharing the custody of Madison.
Now, however, she also has to do whatever she can to prevent her ex-husband from getting any visitation rights with Angel.
