Mel B, or Melanie Brown, formerly of the Spice Girls, just filed another restraining order against her ex-husband, Stephen Belafonte, as their legal dispute continues.
According to documents acquired by The Blast, the 43-year-old producer has to stay 100 yards away from the former Spice Girl until their next court date on the 6th of July.
Moreover, she also requested that Stephen not be able to obtain the rights to their three children, but the judge denied that request. However, they may change their mind at the next court hearing.
Mel B has three children currently, an 11-year-old girl whom she had with Eddie Murphy, Phoenix Chi, from another man, and Madison, who is Stephen’s six-year-old girl.
Reportedly, the former Spice Girl decided she would try and get another restraining order due to an incident that occurred on the 25th of May at the home they own together.
Allegedly, Stephen showed up to the house they shared, where Mel was currently to pick up some of her items, and she panicked and “called the police” because Stephen is “aggressive, hostile, and a violent individual.”
After the police came to the door, Stephen became very upset, he “immediately became irate,” and then he went on to become so “hostile and so severe,” that the police had to take him away because he “didn’t have the ability to calm himself down.”
Stephen supposedly “laughed menacingly,” and doesn’t have the wherewithal to settle himself down even when in front of the police. And on the 12th of June, when they both had to visit the home for the sake of separating their belongings, she had a “full-blown panic attack” and had to go to the hospital.
According to the documents, Mel B began having “flashbacks” to the days when Stephen would terrorize her to the extreme. Mel asked the court to grant her the right to not be in the presence of Stephen ever.
