Megyn Kelly’s highly anticipated memoir was teased with a few snippets released to the press on Thursday.
We are not shocked at all that the selected passages had to do with Donald Trump. The reporter had a bad relationship with him as he’s even called her a ‘bimbo’ before.
Trump unleashed onslaughts of ‘extreme nastiness’ as Kelly called them, whenever he did not get his way.
During a debate that the journalist was moderating, Trump realized that the first question was a “pointed question directed at him”. Of course, he took action and called Fox executives furious. Meghan described his out-of-control behavior during that time, by writing: “Folks were starting to worry about Trump — his level of agitation did not match the circumstances. Yes, it was his first debate. But this was bizarre behavior, especially for a man who wanted the nuclear codes.”
But that is not all. Apparently on the day of the debate, Megyn was picked up by a driver who insisted to buy her coffee. After consuming the drink, Kelly allegedly became so ill that she considered not hosting the debate anymore.
Is she saying she might’ve been poisoned and Trump was responsible?
However, after the snippets were made public and people started speculating, the journalist tweeted:
“For the record, my book “Settle for More” does not suggest Trump had any debate Qs in advance, nor do I believe that he did.”
“Also for the record, I believe the reason I got sick the day of the first debate was I contracted a stomach virus, just as Rand Paul did.”
Something that she does not deny is the fact that before the feud with Donald Trump started, the man courted her.
“This is actually one of the untold stories of the 2016 campaign. I was not the only journalist to whom Trump offered gifts clearly meant to shape coverage. Many reporters have told me that Trump worked hard to offer them something fabulous — from hotel rooms to rides on his 757.”
