Since Meghan Markle married Prince Harry back in May, she has found herself in the middle of family drama thanks to her dad, Thomas Markle. The father and daughter are now estranged after he missed her wedding and did not walk her down the aisle, and now her onscreen dad, Wendell Pierce, has some advice for Meghan’s real dad.
According to Us Weekly, Pierce, who played Markle’s dad Robert Zane on Suits, gave Thomas some words of wisdom during a recent interview.
“If you care about Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, then that should be first and foremost in your mind before you say anything,” said Pierce. “If you love your daughter, just love your daughter. It’s not for public consumption.”
Thomas Markle do you think when you lied to the Press about having Facebook Stock in 2011 & gifted it to Meghan, when it didn’t exist till 2012, that Doria was a guest at H&M’s Estate?
What lovely timing, I’m sure Charles,William Camilla & Kate read the lies & think you’re trash. https://t.co/Afivrl1rPo

The 54-year-old actor also talked about filming the Suits episode where Meghan’s character, Rachel Zane, got married. He explained that he and Meghan shared a sweet moment that he cherishes. Pierce said that he was sitting with the former actress while she wore her wedding dress, and as they waited to shoot the scene, he told her that her life was going to change, and he knows it will be amazing, and he was happy for her. Pierce also told Meghan that he wanted her to know that he was her friend, and no matter what was going on or where she was, she could always call him.
Pierce says that Harry and Meghan were not engaged at the time, but he knew that something was going to happen because of the increased security around her.
Meghan’s family drama escalated after Thomas got caught in a staged paparazzi photo scandal, and then missed the royal wedding because of a heart attack. He then went on a media tour and shared private details about his conversations with his daughter and son-in-law. He also called the royal family “cult-like” and compared it to members of the Church of Scientology or a Stepford family because of the secrets.
But, Meghan and Harry have not reacted publicly to Thomas’ interviews, and they have laid low while taking their summer holiday.
Recently, they have been staying at Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire to spend time with family and friends, including the Queen. It is a tradition in the royal family to spend time in Scotland during the summer, and they are reportedly enjoying long walks, barbecues, fishing, and shooting.
