Meghan Markle’s half-sister, Samantha, is speaking out on her relationship with Meghan once again. Following a litany of comments regarding the royal family member, Samantha has finally apologized for her behavior.
When she appeared on the British TV show, Jeremy Vine, Samantha explained that she wished things could’ve been different. Moreover, Samantha believes she wasn’t allowed to go to the wedding because of Prince Harry.
Samantha said to the host, Jeremy, that “there is so much water under the bridge” and everything has “spun out of control;” it was never intended to be that way.
According to Meghan’s half-sister, the Suits alum could’ve easily solved the problem just by including everyone, and not excluding certain individuals for whatever reason.
Sam Markle believes that families “can be this way” and there’s often confusion and hysteria, leading to hurt feelings. “I apologize and I wish things could be different,” she added.
A few viewers called in and thrashed Samantha, with her responding that the public has a distorted view of the truth. She explained that the vast majority of the things printed in the tabloids are simply not true.
In her criticism of the media, Samantha revealed that many of the positive things she said about her half-sister rarely made it to the mainstream press. As for the reasoning behind her behavior, Samantha said she was standing up for their father, Thomas Markle. According to her, Thomas was “purposely ignored.”
Furthermore, she alleges that the public made a “mockery” out of the Markle family, and she wanted it to stop. It was never about the money, she remarked, and her father supposedly turned down highly profitable interviews, including ones where he would’ve received checks for $50,000.
Regardless of her comments, Samantha says she is happy Meghan found the man she loves. “I’m thankful she is in very good hands,” she explained in reference to the British Royal.
