Prince Harry is about to meet Meghan Markle’s father. Thomas Markle, the father of the former Suits actress, will be attending her baptism in the Church of England following her life as a Protestant. A source who spoke with E! confirmed the news of her father’s attendance at the Royal Wedding.
According to an insider who spoke with E!, Doria Ragland, Markle’s mother, will be flying to England this week and Thomas will be on his way for the event too.
This marks the first time he will meet his future son-in-law in real life. Reportedly, the baptism will be performed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, who will also officiate the wedding.
The Sunday Times was the first organization to confirm the news. And while Thomas hasn’t met Harry yet, Markle’s mom has met Meghan’s future husband.
Multiple reports stated that Meghan and her mother are remarkably close, so much that she’ll walk her down the aisle on her wedding day.
Back in November of 2017, Doria and Thomas reveled in the news of their daughter’s engagement to the Prince. They issued a joint statement which stated they were “incredibly happy” for Meghan and her husband-to-be.
As you may know, Meghan comes from a big family, and as the reports go, she has feuded with some of her old siblings whom she hasn’t spoken with in a long time. As for Thomas and Harry meeting, undoubtedly, the British Royal will be nothing but charming and cordial.
