Meghan Markle dodged a bullet that could have been a major embarrassment for the royal family. In the 2015 film, Anti-Social, director Reg Traviss was pressured to write a nude scene for the Suits star. While Traviss rejected the push to get Markle naked for the cameras, he believes she would have signed off for the nude scene if asked.
According to the Daily Star, Traviss didn’t write the nude scene because he didn’t feel like it fit in with the rest of the movie. Despite feeling pressure from industry chiefs, Traviss ultimately ditched the idea to have Markle strip for a scene. While Markle didn’t get nude for the film, Traviss believes she would have done it with little hesitation, but only if it would have contributed something to the story.
“I think with all serious actors they’re willing to portray anything if the story calls for it,” he explained. “If it’s appropriate then doing a nude scene is no different to doing anything else, a fight scene or a long monologue. I can only image Meghan would fall into that category.”

Given Markle’s previous roles, Traviss is probably right. The actress has stripped on several occasions as Rachel Zane on the hit TV show, Suits. She also had a cameo during a sex scene for 90210 and got up close and personal with one of the main characters. If Markle would have agreed to do a nude scene for the 2015 film, it may have had an impact on her relationship with Prince Harry. Luckily, Markle didn’t do the scene and she is set to tie the knot with Harry this coming May.
Speaking of Harry, Telegraph reports that the couple celebrated New Year’s with a trip to the French Riviera. The pair reportedly took a flight on British Airways to Nice and kept a low profile in the back of the plane. Harry and Markle were accompanied by their bodyguards to ensure their safety and tried to conceal their identities by wearing hats.
Once in France, the two were escorted by the French border police and are under the watchful eye of the Service de la Protection. Markle and Harry have not commented on their stay in France, but it looks like they had a great time ringing in 2018.
With Markle set to become a part of the royal family on May 20, Harper’s Bazaar reports that she recently opened up about a life changing moment she experienced as a young girl. In the new book, The Game Changers: Success Secrets from Inspirational Women Changing the Game and Influencing the World, Markle revealed that she learned a lot of life lessons volunteering in a soup kitchen in Los Angeles when she was only 13 years old.
Above all, she learned that the other people’s needs are more important than her fears, something that she will be able to put into action once she becomes a full-fledged member of the royal family.
Meghan Markle will become an official member of the royal family on May 19, 2018, when she wed Prince Harry at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
