Fans of the former actress are still holding onto the hope that she will be returning to Suits for the TV show’s last season. But will Meghan Markle be part of it or not?
Soon after USA Network announced that season 9 of the legal drama would also be its last, rumors started going around that the original cast, including the Duchess, might just return for a final bow.
That being said, earlier today, the show’s creator Aaron Korsh finally shared if the production had been trying to bring Markle back or not.
While at the Television Critics Association press tour, Korsh told the reporters there, including ET, that ‘We’re not currently pursuing asking Meghan Markle to leave her position with the royal family and join us. I would love it, but I think it’s pretty close to zero.’
The man went on to also address Patrick J. Adams’ possible return, and it looks like that might be more realistic.
As fans know, he left at the end of season 7 and played attorney Mike Ross.
‘I have discussed with Patrick when he left the possibility of coming back, and we both decided if the time was right and he was up for it, and he had the time, that we would do it,’ Korsh dished.
He also noted that the writers would be meeting soon to decide what to do with the story moving forward, which means there is no clear path for each character at this point.
That also means, as he mentioned, that he does not have the image of how the final episode will wrap up in mind either!
