Prince Harry and Meghan Markle haven’t tied the knot yet, but the baby rumors are already flying. According to a new report, some of Markle’s friends are saying that the couple has been trying to get pregnant for months, so could she already be expecting ahead of the royal wedding?
Sources say that Prince Harry and Markle are wasting no time when it comes to starting a family, and some friends believe the first baby is already on its way. They say that Markle has “been nauseous,” and she has allegedly had secret dress fittings at the last minute just to make sure that everything fits right when she walks down the aisle.
“Her skin is glowing, and pals have spotted Harry affectionately touching her belly,” claims an insider.
It is tradition in the royal family to get married before having a baby, but sources say that Harry has always been a rule breaker, and Markle’s biological clock is ticking, so they stopped using birth control and tried to get pregnant for a few months. However, according to Hollywood Life, the couple hasn’t told many people what they are up to.
“She and Harry are more excited about having babies than they are about their actual wedding,” the insider says, and added that the couple has even discussed names.
The report also claims that the 36-year-old Markle has sought out mommy advice from Kate Middleton, and after the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to her third child, Louis, last month, Markle felt tremendous responsibility to get pregnant. An insider says that the actress panicked because she doesn’t want to disappoint Harry and his family.
The source adds that if the couple is expecting, they must keep things a secret because the Queen would “freak out” if Markle was pregnant before the wedding. But, at the same time, it is the Queen who apparently is nudging Harry and Meghan to carry on the royal bloodline.
William and Kate waited over two years after getting married before welcoming Prince George, but since Meghan is much older than Kate at the time of her wedding, the rumors of a baby now rather than later or flying. During their engagement interview last November, Harry said that they wanted to take one thing at a time, but they would hopefully start a family soon.
Paddy Power has given odds of 13 to 2 that Meghan is pregnant right now, and Ladbrokes is giving 5 to 6 odds that the couple will announce a pregnancy this year.
Meghan and Harry have not addressed the baby rumors, and chances are the only thing on their mind right now is their wedding this weekend. Harry and Meghan will marry on May 19th at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. The couple sent out 600 invitations for the ceremony and the lunchtime reception at St. George’s Hall (which the Queen hosts).
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also invited 200 guests to a reception later in the evening at Frogmore House, an event that Prince Charles will host.
