Suits star Patrick J. Adams and his wife Troian Bellisario scored an invite to the wedding of his former co-star Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding, and the couple shared some pics and videos of the celebration on social media. The couple gave fans an inside look at the big event that Bellisario called “off the charts amazing.”
One of the pictures the Pretty Little Liars alum shared from the “joyous occasion” was a selfie of her and her husband that included a sweet message.
Weddings are a joyous occasion. But today was just off the charts amazing. Congratulations Meghan and Harry. I am so grateful I got to witness your love today. There are many happy years to come. Also. Thank you so much @annabelleharron & @temperleylondon for making me feel so beautiful on such a momentous occasion. And last but definitely not least… thank you @halfadams for being your devastatingly handsome self and letting me come along for the ride.
According to US Weekly, the actress revealed that Harry and Meghan provided their guests with a comfortable change of shoes for the reception, and she said it was “amazing” to have the slippers.
Adams, who has starred on Suits with Markle since 2011, also shared a selfie of himself and his wife at Windsor Castle and captioned it by writing, “Freeloaders #royalwedding.”
The couple went all out for the big day, with the actress wearing a peach dress and matching fascinator while her husband looked dapper in a black suit and burgundy tie. He topped off his look with some stylish sunglasses.
A day before the wedding, Adams shared an Instagram photo of The Times newspaper cover – that featured Markle and her mother, Doria Ragland – and joked in his caption that he is starting to think Markle might not actually be out getting milk.
Adams and Bellisario were among the 600 guests that attended the wedding ceremony at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle this past Saturday. Other celebrities in attendance were Oprah Winfrey, David and Victoria Beckham, George and Amal Clooney, Priyanka Chopra, and Serena Williams.
Two receptions followed the ceremony. The first was a lunch hosted by the Queen that all 600 of the wedding guests attended. Later in the evening, Prince Charles hosted a more private reception at Frogmore House for 200 of the couple’s closest family and friends.
For the evening event, Markle changed out of her gown designed by Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy (a dress that Prince Harry called “stunning”) and put on a second wedding dress designed by Stella McCartney.
Many of her guests followed Markle’s lead and changed clothes for the evening reception where actor Idris Elba served as the DJ.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry a.k.a. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will embark on their African honeymoon in the next few weeks.
