Matthew Bellamy plans to get married in the future once again. The Muse frontman – formerly the fiancé of Kate Hudson – proposed to his girlfriend whom he has dated for two years, Elle Evans, during a vacation together on the island of Fiji.
The model took to Instagram to announce the news of their impending nuptials as well as to offer a glimpse at her new glorious engagement ring.
Evans wrote that she initially planned to tell everyone on Christmas, but couldn’t wait “any longer.” Elle stated she and Matt are happy to announce their engagement which comes just a few days after her birthday as well.
The model was ecstatic that the Muse singer proposed to her while on a romantic vacation, after her birthday, and near the Christmas holidays too.
Was going to surprise everyone on Christmas, but just can’t wait any longer…. We are so happy to announce to the world that we are engaged! Just a few days after my birthday, on the most romantic holiday of our lives, the man of my dreams asked me to marry him! After tears of joy, gasps of shock, and a split second of disbelief, of course- I said YES! I can’t imagine our lives apart. What I can imagine is a bright future full of love & light, family & friends, moments that turn into cherished memories, and a lifetime of pure bliss ??
Reportedly, this will be the rock star’s third engagement. Fans will remember when he used to date Gaia Polloni – who worked as a psychologist – but they broke up back in 2009.
Additionally, he was linked to Kate Hudson in 2011, and they even had a child together. However, Hudson and the rocker decided to call it quits because of their alleged “different visions” regarding how they live their lives.
Sources at the time stated, “Kate and Matt are into each other, but it turns out they want to live entirely different. Their expectations weren’t matching.” Fortunately, they remain close friends and co-parent their child.
Just last year, Bellamy joined Hudson and her boys including the oldest one, Ryder Robinson, while they relaxed in Aspen for the holiday season. We congratulate the couple on their engagement and hope it works out for the best.
