Amid reports that Matt Lauer’s wife Annette Roque wants a divorce, we have learned that the former Today co-host is still pretty hopeful that they will manage to stay together through it all. After being together for 19 years, divorce is definitely the last thing he wants!
No one can really deny that the man has ruined everything good in his life.
His explosive sexual misconduct scandal that was followed by a disgraceful firing from NBC’s Today show is reason enough for Annette to leave him.
Meanwhile, sources have claimed that the woman is not going to move forth with the divorce process before things calm down and people start to forget about the scandal.
But, of course, she is not staying for him, but for their children, who are innocently caught in the middle.
Matt still thinks that this is an opportunity for him to change her mind.
One insider made it very clear that Lauer ‘is fighting to save the marriage. He does not want a divorce.’
‘No long-term decisions have been made. They are still taking it day by day. Both of them, their first thought is their children.’
Indeed, regardless of the state of their relationship right now, the pair is putting a united front for the kids.
‘Like many couples these days, they’ve made things work in their own way in order to provide a stable and happy home for the children. The kids are the one good constant he has left in his life right now, and there is no way Annette would consider pulling that away from him when he needs it most,’ another insider revealed.
Do you think Matt and Annette are going to make it work and avoid a divorce or is that unlikely?
