Matt Damon showed up to Saturday Night Live last night, making a surprise performance as Brett Kavanaugh. In the season’s premiere, celebrity guests filled the roster, including Damon and Kanye West.
Matt Damon portrayed the Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, during his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday afternoon.
As it was previously reported, Brett faced accusations of sexual misconduct from Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who alleges Mr. Kavanaugh assaulted her when they were teenagers. The college professor claims Brett and another man held her down in a room, put the music on blast, and Brett put his hand over her mouth in what was an attempted sexual assault.
Rachel Dratch, formerly a mainstay on Saturday Night Live, appeared as Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota. Matt made fun of Brett, who gave an energetic response to Ford’s testimony before the Senate on Thursday.
Pete Davidson, the boyfriend of Ariana Grande, posed as Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, who interrogated Judge Kavanaugh about his summer months in the year of 1982 when the incident supposedly went down.
In the clip, Matt, portraying Brett, jokes, “but you know the liberal media is going to find some way to spin this.” Check out the video below:
Saturday Night Live also made fun of Alyssa Milano, who appeared in the sketch comedy series as a cardboard cut-out. During the rally on Capitol Hill, Alyssa said, “I am a survivor of sexual assault and silent no more.”
Nevertheless, it was an eventful night for NBC’s Saturday Night Live, featuring the likes of Kanye West, who wore a Make America Great Again following his performance where he was dressed like a bottle of sparking water. While it was all in good fun, some people online accused Kanye of “betraying” black people everywhere.
