It’s no secret that Marilyn Mason is not a big fan of Justin Bieber. The artist gave an interview for Billboard recently, and he decided to tell all on what he thinks about the new generation of stars looking up to him, as well as wearing his face on shirts as a fashion statement!
Manson explained that he doesn’t mind it when the wearers are true fans that appreciate his music but when Justin Bieber did it, that was not the case.
He also stated that he saw Justin selling shirts with his face on the front and Bieber’s name on the back as part of his Purpose World Tour merchandise.
One time, when he ran into the younger singer at a bar, he finally confronted him.
‘I saw a little girl in a pink hoodie with blond hair, and it turned out to be Bieber. I sat down, and I say, ‘Hey, so you wore my shirt and everything onstage.’ He was one of those touchy people that hit you when they talk, and he comes up to about d**k height. Then he goes, ‘I made you relevant again.’’
As expected, Manson did not enjoy the rudeness, and he decided to have his revenge – petty, but worth it!
Manson recalled that he fake praised Justin’s ‘idea’ to include his song Beautiful People in the concert and because the younger artist was unaware he made it all up he agreed that indeed, it was a great idea.
When his tour manager showed up, he took it to the next level and asked what time the sound check was the next day because he was supposedly going to perform his own song at Bieber’s concert.
Naturally, the next day at 4 P.M., Manson did not show up.
The singer explained that he didn’t sue Bieber for creating the T-shirts without his consent but that they offered him a lot of money, so it felt like he won once again.
