The superstar’s security team responded hours after the burglars had already stolen items amounting $50,000 from her Los Angeles mansion. As you may already be aware, Mariah Carey was robbed of luxury personal belongings on Thursday morning while she was in New York City. Now, we have learned that the singer believes it was an ‘inside job.’
‘Mariah is not upset over the belongings because $50,000 to her is nothing. But she’s upset because she believes it was not just a random. The robbers had to know she was not in town because Mariah keeps a very private schedule, especially when she is traveling,’ a close pal of the star revealed.
The robbers apparently used a ladder to climb to the second floor, climbing through Carey’s bedroom window.
Oddly enough, despite the fact that the mansion’s silent alarms were activated by the robbers, Mariah’s security team responded hours later, long after the criminals had already fled.
Besides, the source noted that the burglars also knew where the bedroom window was, even though there are hundreds of other windows.
That being said, the fact that the alarms went off but her security people did not take any action makes Carey suspect them and now she is seriously thinking of firing them.
Do you think Carey’s security had anything to do with the robbery?
