Mariah Carey has had a hot and cold holiday season. The R&B legend has just received some very good news!
Everyone’s favorite Christmas anthem “All I Want For Christmas Is You” has reached the top ten in 2017. On December 23, it was announced that the song that was released 23 years ago was the first number that took the longest time to climb the charts and land its current number nine spot!
The diva celebrated with a video letting her fans know.
This comes merely days after Mariah announced that she would be performing for the second time at “Rockin’ New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest.”
Last year, the singer delivered one of the worst performances of her career when she lip synced off-time and walked off stage after getting frustrated with the way it was going.
Carey insists that the situation wasn’t her fault and the word is that her manager at the moment, Stella Bulochnikov, didn’t prepare the “Honey” musician enough for her performance ahead of time.
The situation left Mariah “mortified” and even caused an argument between her team and the show’s producers!
Since the debacle, the songstress has changed some things when it comes to who she surrounds herself with. Stella Bulochnikov is no longer her manager.
She’s also let go of the choreographer that she was working with at that time.
While it is unknown who is currently managing the mother of two, rumor has it that it’s her boyfriend and backup dancer, Bryan Tanaka.
Sources say that Tanaka is inexperienced when it comes to his new position but he wants what’s best for his girlfriend.
Both Mariah and Tanaka are practicing every single day multiple times a day on the New Year’s Eve performance.
They know that this is her chance for redemption and that this will either make or break the rest of her career.
Do you think Mariah will deliver this time?
