Seeing exes coexist peacefully, especially when they have children who require co-parenting, is sometimes a rare sight. In fact, breakups are so synonymous with heartache and betrayal that when a couple actually get along, wish each other well, and don’t hold onto personal animosity, it’s a sight for sore eyes.
This is the case with exes Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. The twosome was married for seven years and share two twin children.
This past weekend Anthony was ringing in his 49th birthday and he made a surprising stop while in Vegas. Him, a group of friends and his girlfriend, Raffaella Modugno attended the JLo show in Las Vegas.
JLo’s current beau, Alex Rodriguez, was also at the show with his 12-year-old daughter. After the show, Anthony and company were even seen backstage greeting and congratulating his ex.
Given that they have two 9-year-olds together, whom they share custody of, it seems like a more than amicable and even loving arrangement.
They also have performed together recently as they are both huge superstars in the latin music industry. They even shared a warm embrace on stage after that performance some months ago which fueled rumors the two may be getting back together.
JLo squashed those rumors after a visit to The View in March. “You know, Marc and I are good how we are right now. There is a reason we’re not together, but we’re great friends. We’re parents together and we’re even working on a Spanish-language album together,” she explained.
While some people can’t imagine loving someone enough to get married, have kids, to break up and still remain good friends, it looks like these two have it down. Enough to even continue to intertwine their musical careers. That’s an incredibly impressive feat.
Anthony was recently asked if he would attend the wedding if Lopez and Rodriguez tied the knot. He seemed super supportive and happy for his ex. He answered that he just hopes he’s invited when it happens.
With the way their current dynamic is, an invitation for her ex-husband and father of her children, may not be that unlikely.
