Mandy Moore has had quite the year, she tells Shape magazine in the newest edition. The once singer turned actress was on the cusp of completely giving up on acting when she landed the role of Rebecca Pearson on the hit television show This Is Us.
The show and its amassed success have positively shifted and changed Moore’s life for the better.
Moore was introduced on the scene as a blonde bubblegum pop princess who had relative success in the music industry.
After switching to acting and dying her hair, she gained even more notoriety, but in the past two years, that success has catapulted her into total stardom.
She refers to it as her second chance in her career. Not only does she feel that way about her professional life but about her personal life as well. Moore is engaged to her boyfriend of two years Taylor Goldsmith. This will be her second marriage as she was previously married to singer Ryan Adams for six years before they split.
Moore still feels she has to pinch herself when she looks around and sees the life she has now. Not even two years ago, she says you wouldn’t have been able to convince her that this was in her future. Her life has changed to such a great degree in such a short time.
Both This Is Us and her current fiance have completely shifted her life in a way that she couldn’t have otherwise guessed or projected.
She feels so blessed and happy that it did and she now can’t wait for another new stage in her life: motherhood. The actress is eager to start a family with her hubby-to-be. At 33, Moore feels she is in the best place in her life and is excited to start a family.
Currently, her and her fiance, Taylor Goldsmith, are renovating a new property that they just bought and want to start having babies and starting new family traditions of their own.
Moore also revealed that she’s come to shed her body insecurities over the years, she’s 5’10 and a size 6, by being active and having perspective.
