‘A Walk to Remember’ touched an entire generation with its tear-breaking story, and now, 15 years later, main actress Mandy Moore teased her fans on Twitter, announcing that a possible reunion with Shane West isn’t ruled out!
During an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Twitter, the 32-years old actress responded to a fan’s question, saying that such a reunion is actually a work in progress. We don’t know exactly what this means, but considering the fact that Mandy’s character died in the 2002 teenage weepy, we’re pretty sure that she wasn’t talking about a sequel.
Mandy Moore starred in ‘A Walk to Remember’ when she was only 16, so there’s no doubt that the movie and its success inevitably influenced her life and career.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress shared how big was the impact, saying that it was a camp-like experience for her, bonding with the whole crew while working at her first film away from home. Everybody made her feel loved and that’s why, 15 years later, “A Walk to Remember” has a very special place in her heart.
As for 38-year-old actor Shane West, he also agreed with his former set colleague, claiming that filming “A Walk to Remember” was “a phenomenal experience.”
For those who don’t remember the plot, ‘A Walk to Remember’ is the story of an unusual relationship between popular and rebellious teenager Landon Carter (West) and Jamie Sullivan (Moore), a quiet and lonely girl.
The two fall in love, but have to overrun multiple obstacles – high school conspiracies, disapproving parents and Jamie’s dark secret, one that will completely change Landon’s life. It was a story with a sad ending, but which sent the message that love can overcome all barriers.
Now, we’re looking forward to finding out what Mandy Moore actually meant by “reunion”…
