The man who supposedly shot Nick Lachey’s bartender at Lachey’s bar in Cincinnati surrendered himself to the police on Thursday night according to People Magazine. The 36-year-old, Lavoris Hightower, was indicted by the police for attempted murder, assault, and weapons charges in addition to tampering with evidence.
On Thursday, the police released a photo of the man saying he was the suspect in the shooting of Ellie Richardson, who suffered gunshot wounds after she left Nick’s bar.

Clyde Bennett II, who works as the man’s lawyer, said to People Magazine that his client “voluntarily surrendered” to police after he and his family discovered the news of his indictment.
Bennett said, “my client is not guilty of the offense” and claims he “was not there” at the time of the shooting and there isn’t any evidence to put him away.
Ellie, 27, walked across the street from Lachey’s bar when Hightower allegedly shot her. At the time of the initial report, officials stated she was speaking with an unknown black man in a van according to the spokesperson for the Cincinnati police.

Ellie and the man argued for a moment before he pulled out a gun and shot her in the head around 3 a.m. The spokesperson for the police said the suspect drove a Chevrolet Express 1500 conversion van.
However, despite the horrible incident, Ellie is slowly recovering according to a Facebook post. The person writing on Ellie’s behalf said the swelling has “subsided drastically,” and the bruising around her eyes is slowly going away. Additionally, the surgeons say she will continue her recovery. The young woman will undergo surgery for her cheekbone, eye socket, and other fractures.
