Bennett Sipes, the man whom Younes Bendjima allegedly assaulted outside a West Hollywood restaurant, is considering taking legal action against Younes, Drake, and Odell Beckham Junior. His lawyer, Colin Jones, said to Us Weekly that they have recently notified the legal team of Younes, Drake, and the New York Giants player.
If they’re given a proper settlement, they won’t file criminal charges. Jones said to Us Weekly they are intending on giving the parties involved the opportunity to “do the right thing.”
Even though the incident occurred all the way back on the 24th of March, Bennett’s lawyer wasn’t able to go all in until the video was released by TMZ, which showed Younes savagely attacking the man.
While Bendjima struck him, Drake and the football player stood there watching, refusing to intervene. He said, “we saw that Younes Bendjima was heavily involved in this assault.” In a video you can see below, Younes punches the man many times in the face, including while he’s on the ground.
According to one source who spoke with Us Weekly, Sipes went over to their VIP table to find someone at the party. Drake or Beckham supposedly told the security to handle that person, and it ended up being a little too aggressive.
However, an insider who spoke with TMZ claims he “talked smack” to the group, and that’s why he Bendjima hit him. TMZ claims he filed a police report but ultimately decided not to pursue the matter any further.
This all comes after Younes and his girlfriend of two years, Kourtney Kardashian, split up suddenly without warning. A source explained, “Younes has a bit of a temper, and this breakup with Kourtney isn’t really helping things.”
“Everyone hits a rough patch every once in a while, and this definitely seems to be the case for Bendjima.”
