It’s unfortunate for Johnny Depp fans to come to realize that the Pirates Of The Caribbean actor has had a string of bad luck lately, from divorces with Amber Heard; allegations of abuse, all the way to serious financial problems.
Additionally, one former coworker of the star, a location manager, claimed that Johnny punched him in twice in the ribs one day after the actor screamed “who the f*ck do you think you are!”
The result of the controversy surrounding the actor has seen the public’s perception of him gradually, but surely, change, from one of the most revered actors to someone who is slowly losing his reputation in the scene.
One star who recently criticized the actor – even though it wasn’t particularly vicious – was the Home Alone alum, Macaulay Culkin, who, while speaking with Joe Rogan on his Joe Rogan Experience Podcast, claimed that Depp may be “doing it all for the money.”
In Culkin’s defense, he wasn’t trashing Depp hard; he was merely insinuating that the actor may have lost his way somewhere along the line.
During the conversation, Joe Rogan and Culkin point to some of Depp’s previous alleged quotes from the past, including one where Depp supposedly said he would never do a franchise film.
Additionally, at one point – claims Depp and Rogan – Johnny said that he wasn’t some kind of “blockbuster star,” which seems awfully ironic, considering that’s just what Depp has become in recent years.
Nonetheless, Depp’s career, while it’s still going strong, is under threat by the media and other people in the scene who have accused him of assault, and voracious spending.
His former accountants claim that Depp’s spending was out of control, including the expense of over $30,000 on wine per month. During the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Macaulay and Rogan point to an alleged quote from Depp, where the actor supposedly scoffed at the idea that his wine consumption could’ve been under $30,000.
