Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwood are both set to perform at the Academy of Country Music Awards tomorrow, and he is super excited to reunite with his fellow country star. Also, this will be Carrie’s first performance since her horrible accident when she injured her face and wrist.
During a new interview, Luke explained he and Carrie’s hubby Mike Fischer are super good friends and like to sometimes go fishing together.
As for her recovery, he stated: ‘I haven’t seen her. I have checked on her through Mike just saying, man, I mean, I know they have had a tough year with all that. But, listen, Carrie’s going to be as beautiful as ever. I know it has been a big story, but I think, I am sure she will be relieved to move on from all of that stuff too. Looking forward to seeing her be as amazing as she always is.’
Previously, Luke also talked about his new song, Most People Are Good that he is set to perform at tomorrow’s awards show.
‘I have been doing it on the road, and it has obviously been on radio, and watching the fans, it is a really inspirational, meaningful song. Certainly with everything that is going on in our media these days where it seems like the negative bad people always get shuffled to the front. Well, this song certainly celebrates and reminds you most people are good out there.’
Not to mention that the song seems even more meaningful because it was released in the wake of the horrifying Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting in October of last year.
‘This is our first kind of big get together as the country music community comes back to Vegas. I felt like it would be a great song for the fans and certainly the artists, and everybody out there that is still and will always be healing from the tragedy of the night at Route 91. It felt like the right moment to do this song,’ Luke explained.
Are you looking forward to Luke and Carrie’s performances?
