According to reports, Luann de Lesseps was arrested at around 1:30 P.M. and released after ten hours behind bars. Now, following her scandal, the reality TV star decided to apologize for the way she acted and explained what happened.
The Real Housewives of New York City celeb took to social media today, just a couple of hours after her release from the Palm Beach County Jail to address the situation to her many followers.
She was first accused of disorderly intoxication, but as the police were trying to take her to the station, she not only resisted arrest but she also attacked one law enforcement officer!
‘I want to offer my most sincere apologies to anyone that I might’ve offended with my behavior. It was my first time in Palm Beach since my wedding and being here brought up buried emotions. I’m committed to a transformative and hopeful 2018,’ the celeb explained in her tweet.
It sounds like Luann is trying to put the blame for what she did on her crumbled relationship with her now ex-husband.
As fans of the show probably remember, Luann and her estranged husband Tom D’Agostino got married last year on New Year’s Eve in Palm Beach!
However, just seven months after the fairytale-like ceremony, they ended up divorcing.
One month later, on September 18, the divorce was also finalized.
According to an assistant state’s lawyer, ahead of her arrest, the intoxicated reality TV star slammed one door and even went so far as to threaten and kick one law enforcer, shouting: ‘I am going to kill you all!’
