Kevin Spacey isn’t doing great these days. In fact, it’s been almost a year since his precipitous fallout from Hollywood in 2017 after Anthony Rapp accused him of trying to seduce him when Rapp was just a 14-year-old boy, while Spacey was 26-years-old.
The accusations came out around the same time as the explosive case of Harvey Weinstein and Louis CK. On his social media, Spacey addressed the charges, came out as a gay man, and subsequently disappeared from Hollywood. He hasn’t used his account since then.
And now, Kevin is currently under investigation for more allegations. The newest case against the Oscar winner is under review by the special task force in Jackie Lacey’s office at the LA County Sheriff’s Department.
The District Attorney said today, “it remains under review.” In case you missed it, Spacey is currently dealing with allegations involving another man back in 1992.
The supposed incident allegedly occurred in West Hollywood, and the police are looking into it. To make matters worse, Kevin’s latest film didn’t do well at the box office. However, the independently created movie didn’t receive any advertising, promotion, or marketing campaigns at all, and was only opened in approximately 10 theatres.
As it was previously reported, Billionaire Boys Club, the latest movie from Kevin, which was filmed several years ago, was released and made only $126 in ticket sales.
The Hollywood Reporter claims it’s one of the worst performing movies for the Academy Award winner. But, truth be told, the film received almost zero promotion, so the studio wasn’t expecting it to perform well anyway.
The movie features other actors like Ansel Elgort, Taron Egerton, and it came out in ten different theatres across the United States on Friday, just one month after it was released through video on demand.
While some on social media asked why the studio would even release it, people forget there is more than just one person who works on a film, and the other actors and crew members deserve to have their art form distributed as well.
