It seems that British girl group Little Mix have a huge hit on their hands. The music video for “Touch” was released on Thursday and has taken over social media in a huge way. The hashtag #TouchMusicVideo spent hours at number one on Twitter and fans could not be happier to see the young women getting the recognition that they deserve. The song “Touch” is the second single taken from Little Mix’s fourth studio album, Glory Days, which was made available in November.
“Touch” is already a top 5 hit in the United Kingdom. The video might push bigger numbers in other countries because there is genuine interest in the choreography and energy that the girls have put forward.
It is clear that a big budget is not enough to go viral these days, so Little Mix decided to go in the opposite direction with this one. The group has found the ideal balance, and each member brings something positive and fresh to the table.
Little Mix is composed of 23-year-old Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, 25, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, also 25, and 24-year-old Jade Thirlwall. It was formed in 2011 during the eight season of the singing reality show, The X Factor. They are signed to Syco Music, a label that was founded by former American Idol judge Simon Cowell.
Edwards is perhaps the most known member of the quartet due to her very public breakup with former One Direction member, Zayn Malik. If the new clip is any indication, she is doing fine without him.
