The band, as well as their many fans, are absolutely devastated by the member’s tragic and shocking death. Following Chester Bennington’s suicide, Linkin Park has officially canceled their ‘One More Light’ North American tour.
The decision was made only a day after front man Chester Bennington ended his own life at the age of only 41.
As a result of the shocking tragedy, the members were too devastated to even think about the tour’s future, and so, it seemed like the best solution was to cancel it.
The ‘One More Light’ North American tour was set to start next week before anyone could ever imagine such tragedy would strike.
It has been reported, however, that Live Nation will be refunding fans of the band their ticket money.
They also released an official statement following the sad news: ‘We’re incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Chester Bennington. The Linkin Park One More Light North American Tour has been canceled, and refunds are available at point of purchase. Our thoughts go out to all those affected.’
Reports have confirmed that 41-year-old Chester Bennington passed away after hanging himself at his Los Angeles home.
Do you think the band made the right decision to cancel the concert? Were you shocked to learn about Chester’s suicide?
Rest in peace, Chester Bennington!
