According to reports, MTV will be sending their film crew to the Mediterranean for a new reality TV series revolving around Lindsay Lohan’s recent business ventures. As it was previously reported, Lindsay opened two different nightclubs in Greece, which, surprisingly, garnered very positive reviews.
In a report from The Hollywood Reporter, cameras will follow Lohan and her Lohan Beach House staff on the Mykonos island.
The series has a shot at success, considering the production company behind hits like Keeping up With The Kardashians and The Real World will be making the show.
However, this won’t be the first time that the Mean Girls alum has been on the small screen. On the Oprah Winfrey Network in 2014, Lohan starred in an eight-episode series.
In 2008, there was another reality TV series focusing on her family, called, Living Lohan. Although, Lindsay herself, did not participate.
There’s no question Lindsay has been a tumultuous figure, but as of late, she’s been on the receiving end of more positive coverage. In a report from The New York Times back in June, the 32-year-old actress explained what her new life was like.
According to Lohan, via The Times, her beach club has a bar and a restaurant and features the latest music. Her first club has been successful, so she plans to open a second in Rhodes.
While one might think that would be enough, the actress reportedly intends to build an island as well called, Lohan Island, in Dubai. In her view, the fact she’s no longer in the United States allows her the freedom to do what she wants without constantly being under the spotlight.
Lohan’s career took a turn for the worse back in the late 2000’s when she was arrested on a number of different charges.
One insider who spoke with us explained, “Lindsay spoke with a couple of different people who told her that her career as an actress is over for the moment. Reality TV and other businesses could definitely work, but the chance of getting another movie deal is nil.”
