Lil Wayne reportedly pulled out of a performance that had been already planned. The reason is a bit shocking: ‘he didn’t want to perform.’
The rapper was supposed to appear at Panorama music festival in New York this past Saturday, on July 28.
All of his fans received the last minute news that he will not be performing because the weather has delayed his flight.
Now, more outlets report something else: that the rapper simply did not want to perform there.
According to a source, ‘He didn’t want to do it. This was going on for days, like three days. He just did not want to do the festival.’
Shortly before Wayne was scheduled to get on the stage, a message appeared on the screens telling fans the following:
‘Due to weather conditions, Lil Wayne’s flight has been delayed and he is unable to perform tonight. He was looking forward to performing for his NYC fans and plans to come back as soon as possible.’
You can imagine the huge disappointment that his public felt when they saw the message.
Another insider said that Wayne is not a fan of NYC especially after he got arrested on a gun possession charge back in 2007 after a concert there.
The same source we mentioned above told the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column that ‘He’s hated it here since his arrest years ago,’ Contactmusic reported.
It seems that even if the organizers had found about about this earlier, they still hoped that he would come eventually and perform for his fans.
