A lot of fans have been a bit disappointed after the album Carter V dropped last week, and Drake was not featured on it. Fans have been speculating the potential reasons for his absence since then, and Lil Wayne decided to address the subject once and for all.
During his encounter with Elliot Wilson for his special CRWN interview on Tidal, Wayne said that the main reason for which Drake was not featured on his album involves ‘clearance issues.’
He also said that ‘He has a song that didn’t get cleared,’ Wayne said when Elliott brought up Drake not being on there.
‘The clearances man. The clearances man. People be trippin’ when they find out who it is and when they find out what the song’s subject is about. They don’t represent the names of something like that,’ Wayne said.

Wayne’s daughter Reginae Carter was featured on the album, and she posted a video in which her mom, Toya Wright almost cries with excitement while hearing the tune and her baby sister Reign Rushing also seems to be adoring the music of her big sister.
‘Idk what makes me wanna burst out into tears more .. the fact my little sister is hype to her big sister song or that my mom is so happy! I love this! #family’ Nae captioned her post which she shared on her social media account.
