Tab Hunter is perhaps, most famous, for coming out as a gay man in Hollywood at a time when it was looked down upon to do so. However, it took many years for him to finally acknowledge what was a rumor in the entertainment industry.
His autobiography, Tab Hunter Confidential: The Making Of A Movie Star, became a New York Times Bestseller and was also nominated for many different writing awards.
It made its way back on to the NYT’s list, following the release of a documentary regarding his life in 2015. In the book, Tab confirmed that he was a gay man, acknowledging the rumors throughout Hollywood for a very long time.
In a report from The New York Times, Tab Hunter supposedly had a romance with Natalie Wood and Debbie Reynolds, but these relationships were merely studio-created conjecture.
