Lebron James is going all-in on the Hollywood experience. Shortly after making his move to Los Angeles official, the NBA star celebrated becoming a Laker by going out on the town with his former teammate Tristan Thompson and his celebrity girlfriend, Khloe Kardashian.
The two couples were spotted at one of the more luxurious sushi restaurants in Malibu called Nobu. They were joined by a crew of security officers and other friends. Although Nobu is one of the most expensive sushi places in Malibu, it isn’t like James and Thompson are hurting for money.
On the morning of July 1st Lakers controlling owner @JeanieBuss woke up at 4 a.m. and couldn’t go back to sleep. If @KingJames chose the @Lakers everything she’d done to remake the franchise would be validated. If he didn’t… https://t.co/ap6Lx1SjYk

James just inked a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers worth $154 million while Thompson is still on a contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers for $82 million — not to mention that Kardashian has a massive fortune as well.
We do not know why James was out on the town with a former teammate instead of enjoying time with his new squad. But, according to TMZ, the foursome had quite the time on their sushi adventure.
In fact, Thompson later shared multiple videos of him and Kardashian getting extra cozy in the back seat of their car. James may no longer be a member of the Cavs, but he and Thompson clearly still share a close bond together. It also probably helps that Thompson’s significant other is a celebrity.
After months of speculation, James signed his new contract with the Lakers this week. The move marks the second time James has left Cleveland for another team. The massive contract will keep James in Los Angeles for at least the next four years. Shortly after signing the new deal, Klutch Sports Group shared an image of the NBA star sitting with his longtime agent, Rich Paul, and the general manager of the Lakers, Rob Pelinka.

While James is clearly enjoying his time in Hollywood, he is looking forward to bringing back a winning culture to the Lakers. The president of operations for the Lakers, Magic Johnson, has high hopes for the Lakers now that James — who appeared in 8 straight NBA Finals — is a part of the storied franchise.
“He loves to compete and is an awesome leader who is about winning and making sure that his teammates are successful,” Johnson shared in an official press release.
LeBron James has not commented on his continued friendship with Thompson and his future plans in Hollywood. But so far, things are off to a great start.
