Leah Remini has Paul Haggis’ back following the allegations of sexual misconduct against him. The 47-year-old actress along with her friend, Mike Rinder, shared a letter on Rinder’s blog on the 15th of January with the title, “Concerning Paul Haggis.”
In the letter, Rinder and Remini defended Paul and said he has always been a champion of the rights of women, the LGBT community, as well those who are “underprivileged” in the world.
Both Remini and Rinder claimed the allegations are “suspect” and the Church of Scientology may be attempting to smear Paul’s reputation who was a member for 35 years before he decided to leave back in 2009.
They claimed information is distorted for the sake of attacking those who transgress the social mores of the Church.
They both said “it’s not imaginary,” and their attacks on people are well-documented. Anybody who defies the Church is “fair game,” according to Rinder and Remini.
The former star of King Of Queens said this type of behavior is commonplace with the Church, and it’s highly probable that they’re behind these accusations.
They expect more accusations to come out against him and it will be in the form of anonymous accusers who hide behind lawyers and “never have to disclose who is paying their bill.”
They added that anonymous accusers are always suspect and they highly doubt the veracity of such claims. Hush money and private settlements are what they’re after, and people who wish to remain anonymous are “suspect.”
As you may know, Leah Remini has been an outspoken critic of the Church since she left. She even created an award-winning documentary detailing the organization’s alleged transgressions.
